Honey Wheat Pancakes

This is the pancake recipe that I use on a weekly basis. I love that the mix is all ready to go and all I have to do is add a few ingredients. My hubby LOVES these and it is a great way to use some of your food storage.

Honey Wheat Mix
3 cups whole wheat flour
6 cups all purpose flour
1 cup instant milk powder
1/3 cup baking powder
4tsp salt
1/4 cup honey powder or 1/2 cup sugar

Mix together and store in the fridge in an air tight container for 10-12 weeks

Honey Wheat Pancakes
1 egg
1 1/3 cup water
3 TBLP canola oil
2 cups Honey Wheat Mix

Combine egg, water and oil, beating with whisk. Add mix and let stand for 2 minutes. Pour batter over hot griddle. These will not cook as fast as Bisquick so make sure that you give them the time they need or your inside will be doughy.

Breakfast for Dinner

REVIEW: These pancakes were very yummy and the syrup was to die for!!!
They did take a lot of work and I will not be making them every day,
but a fun breakfast for special occasions!

Check out my staple pancake recipe above.
They are so good and a great way to use some of your food storage.

We are having these for Dinner smothered in this.... How about you?
I will let you know how they turn out, but my mouth is seriously watering. I LOVE breakfast food!
I got the recipe here.

Jars

What do you think about this awesome idea, again from Drab to Fab?

I think I know what I will be on the look out for this summer at the DI and Garage sales.
Can't wait to make some!

So DANG cute...

In my daily blog stalking I ran across this little cutie! I cannot wait to make one for my house. I am not super picky about people removing their shoes, but it sure does help keep my carpets cleaner!
Yea for cleanliness and crafting!

Aprons

Me and my two SIL's made some sweet Aprons during Thanksgiving holiday. Let me tell you this is a big accomplishment for someone (me) who does not sew! I wish we would have gotten pictures of all of them. We made six!

P.S. I know that when this picture was taken my baby was only 3 months old, but THIS is the picture that has inspired me to start working out!

Freebie

I found this little beaut for FREE at a Garage Sale this summer.
It is a headboard that was a loverly brown.
A quick coat of paint, sanding and wallah... it is now my Entertainment Center that fits nicely in my tiny living room.

Eye Sore

So In my Kitchen I have this lovely little number, which use to not be so lovely.
I have been looking for a shelf or a piece or furniture to replace this but no luck yet.
So inspired by this, I added a little pizzaz to this drawer self until I can find what I really want. Sorry I don't have before pictures, but trust me it was hideous.
There was tape residue on all of the drawer fronts.
Thanks again to Drab to Fab for the inspiration!

DI FINDS

To be honest I have never been a big fan of D.I.
My thing is Garage Sales and let me just tell you that I am DYING for warmer weather.
But inspired by many awesome blogs that I have been stalking lately and because of the chilly weather I have been making it a point to stop in when ever I am on the West side of town.
So here are a few of my recent finds:

2 of these cute jars for 1.50 each

Wall Art for a whoppin $1.50

Picture of Christ that I honestly only bought for the frame (which use to be a hideous gold) but ended up liking it so much after I painted the frame that I just left it. $1.00
